TRAINEE MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERS
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY

As a result of ongoing growth, opportunities exist for Trainee Mechanical Design Engineers to join the established mechanical design group in Burton on Trent who specialise in bespoke systems for clients, typically mechanical handling systems, special purpose equipment, proof of principle prototypes, test rigs and high value complex systems.
You will be excited at the prospect of working on very varied design projects across a whole range of industries. You should relish a design challenge-the nature of a consultancy is that you will be posed some very interesting problems!
The role of Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer will involve the taking responsibility of all aspects of design projects from initial proposals to delivery of completed designs and supporting through manufacture and commissioning. You will use high end 3D CAD (Unigraphics NX/ Catia/ Pro-Engineer) to create concept, scheme and detail designs on a variety of projects for the Power Generation, Defence, Aerospace, Gas Turbine, Renewable and Medical industries. There is the opportunity to expand into other sectors.
To succeed as Design Engineer you will have at least a 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, with some proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably Unigraphics NX, but also Catia or Pro-Engineer.
This role requires SC Clearance so you must be either a British Citizen who has been living in the UK for the last 3 years minimum or of another nationality who has been living in the UK continuously for the last 5 years minimum.
