The Trainee Database Developer role is an exciting new, full-time position that will be focused on taking on the responsibility for driving the development of the data layer on one of the UK’s largest websites.
Reporting to a Database Team Leader you will focus on bridging the gap between a highly transactional database and development of new functionality leveraging the latest web technologies.
The successful candidate will have a passion for computing and will join us to learn to produce well performing code and understanding performance tuning mechanisms that adhere to the underlying hardware. A good working knowledge of TSQL will be useful however full training will be offered along with the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certification.
Good communication skills are a must as the role will require constant contact with business owners and developers to understanding the data required for capture to answer both a business and technical need.

The candidate will have some experience in:
- TSQL & Database Design
- Controlling the flow of data from the database
- Commercial experience of SQL Server is not required however a good knowledge of computing is a must.
