My client who is one of the UK’s leading firms of accountants and business advisers is looking to recruit a qualified professional for their Assurance and Advisory department based on the outskirts of Ipswich.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Gathering of audit evidence through communication and interaction with client staff
- Prepare analysis of accounting data from clients books and records
- Ensure audit files have all relevant documentation on the appropriate section; check appropriate and sufficient documentation obtained to support the opinion and documenting all conclusions
- Active adherence to budget and timetable, bringing matters to the attention of the senior or manager, particularly when actual time is in excess of budget
- Involvement in the planning, execution and finalisation of the audit assignment supporting the Senior or Manager
- Ensure compliance is adhered to
- Add value to clients’ businesses through analysing their strengths and weaknesses, and recommending effective solutions
Education & Qualifications Required:
- Part-qualified ACA/CA/ACCA/CIPFA with a minimum of 280 UCAS points and 2.1 degree OR
- AAT Qualified with 280 UCAS points and willingness to undertake further study towards ACA/CA/ACCA/CIPFA.
- Experience of working in a professional firm
- Experience of working for/on behalf of the Audit Commission, NHS and or Local Government is desirable
- Able to approach projects logically, with good numerical skills
- The ability to prioritise and deal with a variety of cases in a methodical manner
- Ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally
- Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Microsoft office applications essential
- A flexible and adaptable approach is essential
