Job Description

As the Trade Lane Manager you will have full responsibility for managing and developing the South East Asia Trade Lane. Overall responsibility for tradelane development, improving market knowledge, driving sales and sustaining strong relationships with key partners. Responsible for price negotiations for tenders and key accounts and negotiations with carriers in order to build strong lasting relationships. As a strong sales individual you will develop and generate new business, maintain existing relationships with key customers and develop and implement sales campaigns in order to maximise business opportunities and to optimise cost of sales. Monitoring sales channels and closing important accounts will be essential in order to grow the business. Responsible for driving productivity improvements and strategies in order to improve performance across the region. Working with product departments you will be responsible for developing attractive products on the trade and promoting such products and services to customers. Having exceptional market knowledge will be key in order to be successful. Also responsible for budgets, trade management reports and compliance procedures.

Requirements:

Ideal candidates will be degree educated in Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline. You will have a minimum of 8 years experience within the industry and have a proven track record in a similar position. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills. Experience in trade lane management & development of SE Asia route is essential. Ideally candidates will have a strong network with global and local customers. Candidates must have strong commercial awareness and an understanding of forwarding of both Ocean & Air products. Candidates will have a proven record of achieving objectives and increasing sales & profitability within the company. Result driven with the ability to work on their own initiative. Fluent in English is essential, Chinese desired.
