Exciting opportunity for a Software Tester to join our client based in Worcester, West Midlands.
Job Title - Software Tester
Location - Worcester, West Midlands
Salary - £18,000k
As the Software Tester your role will be to execute testing on a wide range of general insurance applications to prove accuracy and quality. Furthermore your duties and responsibilities will includev:
* Testing developed software against specified requirements.
* Accurate recording and monitoring of issues raised.
* Creation and maintenance of test documentation as required.
* Liaison with Development and Business Analysis teams to promote swift resolution of faults.
* Constantly monitoring test progress in line with release dates / plans.
* Review test environments and processes to facilitate continuous improvement and maintenance of quality standards.
* Provide support to customers as required.
* Use of test tools and utilities.
* Provide test estimates.
* Other tasks as directed by the Team Leader
Candidates must have experience of working within a pressurised environment, have some functional testing experience, ideally UAT and regression testing experience. Manual testing experience (rather than automated). You must hold a degree or equivalent level qualification, ISEB or ISTQB Foundation Certificate in software testing would be an advantage. Candidates will also benefit from experience within an insurance or broker environment.
