Job Description

Main Function

The QA function is crucial to Core Frameworks technology delivery and RWA system in particular. The group designs and manages high volume, complex systems with critical SLAs to its clients. The QA team comprises two testers (including the vacant position), the primary responsibility of which is to ensure the quality of technological framework, data quality and consistency inside the system in addition to management of test environments, regression suites and the client UAT process. The group requires high calibre specialists in these areas and the role would suit individuals eager to pursue a professional career in Quality Assurance in a dynamic, challenging and rewarding environment.

Main Duties

· Definition and implementation of RWA testing strategy

· Basic risk management: definition, highlighting and covering.

· Engagement in software development lifecycles to provide input and analysis of testing requirements

· Active participation in test approach and scope definition

· Extensive test design

· Test automation

· Test execution (both manual and automated)

· Reporting of defects and issues

· Setup and configuration of test environments

· Keeping up-to-date documentation.

Person Specification

Qualifications / Education Required

Degree (or equivalent) in a numerate discipline or relevant commercial experience
Financial (Risk) background
Experience Required

Solid experience with DBMS (MS SQL is preferable)
Business intelligence. OLAP Software, reporting Systems, Tools.
Strong knowledge of SQL and MDX
Good knowledge of test design techniques
Experience in testing Frameworks/non-GUI applications

· Skills /Aptitude Required
· Ready to take the responsibility for the whole team and project.

· Solid soft skills (communication, problem-solving) and willingness to actively apply them

· Self-starter, proactive and initiative

· Ability to thoroughly question the products under test and pull the necessary information instead of waiting for it

· Ability to drive projects to completion, engaging and negotiating resources as required

· Ability to estimate test efforts, schedule and develop tasks according to agreed scope and development milestones

· Attention to detail, strong analytical skills

· Able to work autonomously

· Good communication skills – written and spoken, spoken English is a must

· Good team player

· Goal-oriented

Skills/Aptitude Preferred

· Experience in large-scale working environments

· Exposure to remotely distributed teams

· BDD and test automation experience

· Background in working on parallel products

· Ability to quickly switch between tasks and work to tight deadlines
