A Temporary Policy and Performance Officer is urgently required by a local authority to work for a period of 2 Months, pay rate £14-16 per hour.  Working as part of a small central team, providing a framework within which the business can function effectively, as the Policy and Performance Officer you will be required to deliver organisational improvement and policy development in a fast paced environment, driving through business efficiency and cultural change. You will lead by example, promote the values of the organisation and assist others to deliver their objectives.  Working with a project manager, the Policy Officer will be responsible for delivering wide-ranging projects and vital functions in support of the Council’s Business Strategy and corporate priorities, based on a matrix-management approach. This is likely to cover a wide range of issues and will extend from early formulation of policy ideas through to a role in policy delivery and support of others to ensure that change is embedded in the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with these policies.  You will demonstrate excellent project management, interpersonal and communication skills.
