To work within the mid-management sales team in order to recruit, manage and develop the telesales team. The focus of the role will be to define the lead generation strategy, training and developing an inbound and outbound sales team in order to generate new enquiries and appointments for the Directors delivering business telecommunication products and customers’ voice and data requirements throughout the UK
The ideal candidate will have experience in business to business sales and business development and a track record in team management and sales training. Whilst experience in telecoms would be useful it is by no means essential, the core skills centering on cold calling sales techniques, how to contact Decision Makers, discover a need and close to an appointment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Creating a process-impelled workflow for sales or telemarketing and agree defined actions
- Developing call scripts for telemarketer’s use with lead generation and qualification.
- Using data driven examines to optimize telesales and telemarketing operations.
- Maintaining follow-up procedures to new clients correctly and initiating them under minimal supervision.
- Calling sales prospect individuals in target industries for qualifying leads and setting up appointments
- Updating the customer relationship management system with new contacts, and expanding the database, by means of resourcing leads
- Achieve sales targets for telesales team and new business proportion
- Become an integral part of the company and promote the Sales department at every opportunity
- Generate ideas and think outside of the box in generating business for the company
Essential Skills/?Qualifications & Competencies:
- Proven track record in managing a team within a telesales environment
- To work within Management to drive overall sales strategy
- Proven sales experience and ability to exceed daily targets.
- To be accountable and responsible with regards to all tasks and work carried out.
- Proactive and ability to use own initiative.
- To process excellent motivational, coaching and development skills.
- To have a good understanding of all compliance issues.
- Knowledge of Telemarketing/?Telesales procedures
- Must be able to motivate team members
- Must be able to appear confident and cheery during, often negative feedback.?
- Must be able to liaise effectively with staff in other departments
