My client is a globally recognised organisation who operate worldwide and employ upwards of 600 people
The role will involve:
• Taking on a developmental and maintenance role on our web-based data tools. Technologies utilised within these tools encompass: Microsoft Access forms with an Oracle database backend
• Design and develop Excel based solutions for business process improvement, integration with corporate database and reporting and analysis tools.
This is a demanding role requiring a capable system developer who will:
• Show an aptitude for MS Access form design
• Work closely with business staff to design and deliver high quality applications, enhancements and support services
• Demonstrate a proven track record in MS Access and Excel development using complex VBA sub-routines and data interaction. Having achieved this within an organisation such as a Financial Institution would definitely be of benefit within this role as attention to standards and code maintainability is essential
• Ensure that standards are rigorously applied, and further developed where appropriate
• Support and assist colleagues by sharing knowledge and new ideas
Knowledge and experience in any of the following technical areas is not essential but would be beneficial:
• Microsoft Access (from 2003 onwards) user interface form design and development
• Microsoft Excel (from 2003 onwards) user interface form design and development
• Microsoft VBA (MS-Access, Excel) at an expert level
• ORACLE PL/SQL and or SQL Server T-SQL
• Business Intelligence
• Content Management
