Technology Project Manager
Role Summary:
Due to recent staff movements and changing customer requirements a Project Management vacancy has arisen at the Pitstone facility to manage our expanding Technology Programmes. This position will be working within the project management function and will be assigned to one or more Technology projects and will report to the Programme Director. The position is predominantly based at Pitstone but national and international travel may be required.
Principle Accountabilities:
• Planning and execution of projects in accordance with Project Management procedures whilst meeting internal and customer milestones
• Managing the work packages of a multi-disciplined team
• Adherence to NRC and RC elements of business plan
• Customer liaison and maintenance of customer relationship
• Internal reporting, including project review presentations to the Senior Leadership team
• Compilation and publication of visual metrics, presentations and written reports
• Application of Project Management tools, i.e. risk analysis, gateway reviews, etc.
• Ensuring that changes are managed in compliance with Project Management, Production Readiness and In-service Readiness procedures, where relevant
Personal Characteristics:
• Degree Qualified or equivalent with relevant experience, and with some project management experience in manufacturing industry
• Demonstrated ability to deliver against key milestones and cost targets
• Experience in Continuous Improvements and/or Lean Process Development
• Excellent leadership, influencing, teamwork and communication skills
• Emotionally resilient and able to drive projects effectively for excellence against demanding targets in a complex, multi-disciplined environment
• Experience working within a matrix structure
• Strong conflict management skills
• Enthusiastic, with a drive for results
• Foreign language would be an advantage
• Experience with work break down structures, scheduling, pricing, and estimating
• Strong Customer focus
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to act strategically and tactically to support successful project completion
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs/software.
• Ability to work hours in excess of 40 per week when necessary
Working Conditions - Physical requirements and environment
• Office environment with moderate noise levels.
• Occasional need to be on production floor, requiring safety glasses, safety shoes, and ability to stand for long periods.
• Domestic and international travel 5% to 10% depending on projects in work.
