We are currently working alongside this highly successful and rapidly expanding business that provides IT solutions/managed services to its wide client base throughout Central London and into the home counties.
The role will involve project and consultancy-based work, as well as providing backup for the existing helpdesk. The candidate should have good experience in all areas of infrastructure; from design and project management, to documentation.
Key technology experience to include:
- Advanced Active Directory Knowledge & Troubleshooting (replication issues, metadata cleanup operations etc.)
- SQL Server Maintenance
- Web Hosting Technologies (IIS, Apache, SSL, DNS)
- Citrix XenApp / Presentation Server
- Sharepoint Configuration & Administration
- Networking (good understanding of layers 2 & 3)
- Server architecture & management
- Microsoft Exchange (troubleshooting, installations, migrations etc.)
- Backup and disaster recovery processes
Desirable skills:
- Experience with multi-tenancy on Windows systems
- Programming in a core web technology (.net preferred) and an understanding of XML and web APIs
- Network management automation
- A basic understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
- Virtualisation (VMware, Xen, Hyper-V)
- Storage (good understanding of SANs, Fibre Fabrics, iSCSI etc.)
- Knowledge of HP products
- Checkpoint / Watchguard firewalls
