One of our clients based in Dorchester is seeking a Technical Support Engineer who has ideally come from a telecommunications background to join their team. You will be responsible for providing in-depth technical support for all global customers, however your role will also involve:
- Assisting Tier 1 and 2 personnel in solving technical problems and investigating escalated issues by confirming the validity of the problem and seeking solutions for more complex issues.
- Installation duties, remote and onsite, the candidate should be willing to travel to worldwide installation sites.
- Providing regular customer feedback regarding resolutions and updates and be able to build an advanced customer relationship.
- Work alongside the Engineering team to provide solutions.
The successful applicant will have the following:
- A previous background providing technical support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- C++ and Linux knowledge essential
- Extensive product and protocol knowledge
- Be able to provide demo’s and training catered to various ability levels
Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE
