Our clients are a new and innovative online gaming company, who are using the latest technologies to bring a fresh approach to the market. Due to this rapid expansion, our clients are recruiting for a dynamic Technical Author to join their team.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Technical Communications Lead to provide general documentation support and produce documentation including game server/API references, functional specifications, integration guides and web portal guides for players, operators and developers. Our client is also looking for someone who is proactive in suggesting better ways of working, and can work with minimal supervision.
If this is the Technical Author opportunity you have been looking for then you will need the following skills and experience:
- Exceptional written and spoken English
- Prior experience as a technical communicator
- Qualifications in technical and communications disciplines
- Possess a strong technical background in commercial software projects, with an understanding of software development team processes
- Have exceptionally high skills with MS Word 2007+, and good skills with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Have the ability to draft clear and concise diagrams using tools such as Visio, OmniGraffle, yEd or Illustrator
- Have the ability to edit and annotate bitmap graphics such as screenshots and photographs
- Familiarity/expertise with technologies such as HTML, XML, desktop and mobile devices, web/cloud systems, software tools
- Be experienced working within formal documentation frameworks including bug-tracking systems, style sheets, templates, intranets, procedures and document control systems
- Be able to liaise and interact with colleagues of varying nationalities and seniority clearly and concisely
- Be able to produce high-quality documentation under pressure to short deadlines
- Expertise with Content Management Systems, Document management Systems, UI and basic programming tools is desirable
- Membership of ISTC or STC is desirable
