JOB DESCRIPTION:
Atleast 7/8 years of Experience in Remedy Solutioning designing application, Developments, Team
handling workflows, business logic in suggested BMC best practices
EXPERIENCE/SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in BMC Remedy AR system workflow development as per the provided design and debugging
- Experience in BMC ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change Release, Asset, Knowledge Management)
- BMC Atrium Core products (CMDB, Product Catalogue, Atrium Integrator)
- Knowledge of UNIX, basic Oracle SQL scripts
- Installation, Configuration experience of AR/Atrium/ITSM highly desirable
- Must have good understanding of Active Links, Filters, Escalations, Web Services, All Form
- Objects creation and debugging
- Strong understanding of Permission model is must (User/Group/Role concepts)
- Good understanding of CMDB class structure (Common Data Model CDM) and Reconciliation concepts
- Other feature experience desirable Normalization Engine, Atrium Impact Simulator, Service Catalogue etc.
- CMDB and AR Java or C API knowledge is desirable
- Understanding of advanced AR configurations such as Server Group, DSO, Load Balancer, Threads settings and so on
Responsibilities
- Understand overall customer business/functional process (trouble ticketing and role of CIs in that process) rapidly
- Provide consulting inputs to customer about what is to be done to confirm with ITIL best practices and mapping of their process with BMC OOTB Incident/Change and help with CMDB class mapping and attribute mapping for relevant CIs for the customer etc.
- Install, configure AR/Atrium/ITSM
- Coordinate with BMC ADDM people to ensure correct population of CMDB
- Ensure exactly same results in Dev, Test, Pre-prod, Prod environments (depending on whatever environments are available with the customer)
- Highlight any blocking issues well in advance so that implementation timelines dont get impacted
- Coordinate with various interlocking component owner people to resolve any application to application issues
- Coordinate with BMC Support for any product/out of the box installation or configuration issues or for obtaining essential documents like white papers etc
