The management of a highly successful Hearing Impaired Service in West London, which specialises in supporting the educational development of deaf children in a range of different settings, is looking for a Teacher of the Deaf to join their team.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking teaching to students across KS 3-4
- Preparing learning material for courses and devise relevant practical activities
- Being involved in course team activities, curriculum development in particular student centred approaches and assessment schemes
- Working in partnership and liaising with families and mainstream schools
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A Secondary PGCE or equivalent qualification and QTS
- B.S.L qualification
- A valid CRB
- Extensive experience teaching across Key Stages 2-4
- A passion for working with deaf children
