JOHN GROVES TICKET SYSTEMS More jobs from JOHN GROVES TICKET SYSTEMS
This is varied work in a growing, long established independent business, supporting transport operators and other customers, based mainly in our Ayrshire office, in a small productive team.
You will configure open platform ticket systems to customer requirements, load fares, maintain documentation, and also assist on our helpline at times, especially where systems are integrated. A flexible approach is required and you will need to be prepared to accept responsibility.
Most of your time will be spent programming and testing systems ready for our installation team. You'll be an articulate, well presented person with a level of attention to detail second to none, good mental arithmetic skills, and the ability to absorb information. Managing your own time, you'll have an analytical appoach to solving problems.
You must have excellent competence in .NET, and good C and C++ experience is useful, along with SQL Server, Crystal reports, and preferably Windows CE5.0, XML. Previous experience in EPOS till systems or ticketing is an advantage, but more important is attitude and a methodical approach to seeing projects through to completion. You must be prepared to occasionally travel to customer sites if required. Average working hours are 40 to 46 per week.
Education/Experience Preferences:
Bachelor's degree in Technology (B Tech) or Masters in Computer Application (MCA), or related field.
Must possess relevant experience in Design & Development.
Must have minimum 2 years of experience in software development in a significant role.
Interviews will be held in Ayrshire. In the first instance, apply with a covering letter and up to date CV to;
