The Company

Our client are a large, well established national independent provider of services to children and young people with Autism, complex learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

They offer both residential and educational services to children across the UK and are a market leader in their specialist fields.

The company are continuing to grow and develop across the UK and are looking for outstanding practitioners to join them. They offer an excellent training package to new and existing staff, along with continuous professional development.

The Role

We are looking for Residential Support Workers to provide care and support to children aged 11-19 years with autistic spectrum disorders and associated challenging behaviours.

The residential home offers support 52 weeks of the year and the support workers are required to work from a rota which will include some weekend work.

You will help to provide physical and emotional care for the young people in both their domestic and personal life, working with a team of staff to maintain a happy and caring environment. There is a huge emphasis on maintaining and encouraging independence among the young people and integrating them in the local community and other external activities.

Skills and Experience Required:

We are ideally looking for people that have;

A care qualification
Previous experience and an understanding of Autism and learning disability
A desire to want to work with children and young people and a desire to make a difference to their lives
The ability to work on a rota shift basis
A strong work ethic and the ability to work within a small team
Car drivers
