This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Support Worker (male) to get involved and participate in providing high quality service to this extremely well run Respite for young adults/children with learning and physical disabilities.

Responsibilities: 

Provide emotional and practical support to service users. Help service users meet their personal care needs sensitively and appropriately to a high standard, including personal hygiene.

  • Supporting service users to take any prescribed medicine, complying with all medicine policies, including storage, administering and record keeping.
    Assist in devising, implementing and reviewing care plans.

Manage case load of 5 cases i.e.. community, schools, referrals for service. Shift leading in the absence of management on rotation basis.

Maintain contact with a wide range of outside professionals, e.g.. general practitioners, dentists, and therapists etc..

Computer knowledge is essential,  be able to articulate assessments to the management.

36 hours per week on a rota basis.
