Support Worker - Various Roles

Our client is an award winning organisation, employing approximately 1200 staff, providing affordable housing to around 17,000 households & specialist care & support to individuals across the South East. They are now looking to recruit Support Workers for several roles within the Berkshire area.


  • Support Worker - 39 hours - Crowthorne (opportunity for a female)
  • Support Worker - 24 hours - Maidenhead (opportunity for a female)

(The above roles are exempt from paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010)


  • Support Worker - 39 hours - Windsor (must be used to lone working)
  • Support Worker - 35 hours - Woking (experience of mental health an advantage)
  • Floating Support Worker - 39 hours - Slough
  • Waking Nights Support Worker - 18 hours ­- Bracknell
  • Casual/Bank Staff also required for all areas of Berkshire
  • Care Attendants also required in Berkshire

The successful Support Worker will show the ability to work with individuals & the ability to assist them with day to day tasks. All applicants will need to have held a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months & have access to a suitable vehicle for work purposes. Training opportunities are available to successful applicants including access to NVQ level courses.

Your duties as a Support Worker will include:


  • Provide appropriate support to Service User’s in all aspects of their daily life.
  • To support Service Users to make appropriate decisions & choices.
  • Help Service Users budget & keep account of monies spent.
  • Complete relevant administrative records & duties.
  • Liaise with external people & agencies.

The ideal Candidate will have the following skills and qualities:


  • Previous experience within a support role would be of great benefit but is not essential.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Daily living skills such as budgeting, cooking & housework.
  • Willing & able to undertake relevant training including relevant NVQ level courses.
  • Previous experience of supporting people using a variety of different communication methods (Makaton, Singalong etc.)

Salary and Reward Package:


  • Salary in the region of £15,000 to £19,500 depending on experience & role applied for.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata).
