Support Worker in Hammersmith and Fulham

Due to Network Health and Social care winning a contract with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, we are now recruiting for a large number of Support Workers.

You will be expected to support residents residing in residential care homes, respite homes and day centres with all aspects of daily living, from personal care including bathing and toileting, through to shopping and general housekeeping.

You will need to have a minimum of 6 months experience in a care environment and posses good verbal and written communication skills. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and have good interpersonal skills.

Key Requirements:

• Assist residents with all aspects of personal care
• Engaging residents in activities
• Assist residents with dressing and eating
• Help clients to move around and communicate
• Observe and report any changes in the condition or any complaints about care to a supervisor

• Physically fit
• Commitment to the rights of elderly and disabled people to live dignified lives
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Being observant, supportive and understanding
• Being able to handle emergency situations both calmly and effectively
