This private manufacturing company was established in 1920, is one of the largest employers in the Black Country and well renowned as a leading supplier of high quality plastic injection moulded sanitary ware and bathroom accessories.

A vacancy has now arisen for a Supervisor/tool setter to work on a two shift system (no nights) in their highly advanced injection moulding department operating Battenfeld machinery.

Main duties:

To ensure that moulding machines and ancillary equipment are set correctly in order to obtain optimum production within budgeted costs, to the agreed quality standards and to meet production targets.

To manage mould shop personnel, this includes line feeders and assembly operators.

To ensure that the quality system is implemented and maintained to the required ISO9001standard.

Experienced required:

• Supervising production personnel
• Setting tools on injection moulding machines up to 650 tonnes.
• Thermoplastic materials
• Ancillary equipment including robotics, auto colour blending, granulations, separation etc.
• Fault finding
• Experience of Battenfeld moulding machines would be an advantage

Personal Attributes:

• Ability to understand production problems, solve problems and educate team in resolving issues.
• Self starter
• Able to deal with abnormal conditions and issues effectively (either production or personnel)
• Willing to embrace continuous improvement initiatives

Hours of work:

Dayshift            7.30 am to 4.00 pm       Mon to Thurs    

                                    7.30 am to 3.00 pm       Friday

            Morning            6.00 am to 2.30 pm       Monday

                                    6.00 am to 2.15 pm       Tues to Friday

            Afternoon         12.45 pm to 11.00 pm    Mon to Thurs

                                    Meal break on each shift is 30 minutes
