Stores Manager

We are looking for Stores Manager for one of the UKs leading technology development companies.

The role is required to assist in project management and administration of Defence related projects for the Communications & Electronics Systems business.

The role of Stores Manager will offer the successful individual many exciting challenges and will require the ability to provide a robust but easily implemented level of process control in a fast moving environment.

We are looking for individuals with a methodical approach and excellent attention to detail. You will need the ability to work with and influence more senior individuals. An insistence on high standards, acting on own initiative to identify and correct faults or problems is needed. You will be working with technical development staff whose ethos is not always suited to such controls so tact and diplomacy will also be required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a relevant Stores environment in the Defence industry is required.
• Cleared to Security level 2 or eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
• Proven experience in a relevant Stores Manager role

Stores Manager Key Tasks

• Handling and accounting of electronic and mechanical hardware ranging from components to prototype sub assemblies and complete systems.
• Handling, accounting and filing/archiving of electronic and hard copy documents
• Maintenance of project management documentation including actions lists, problem reports, configuration records etc
• Organisation of facilities to ensure security, good working practices and a favourable impression to visitors
• Assisting in developing and implementing processes for the above which can be used by others
