Store Manager - Lyon, France

Our client; a fashion focused footwear brand who are expanding rapidly is seeking a Store Manager as soon as possible for a new store opening in Lyon, France in June 2013. The Store Manager utilises and coordinates all services provided and makes them consistent with the short and long-term interests of the Company. This position ensures that the store provides the highest level of customer service possible. Is responsible for achieving budgeted revenue goals and monitoring expenses, maximising profit whilst minimising costs. Major parts of the job on a day-to-day basis include managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency, finding new ways to improve sales and meeting customer demand.

The Store Manager will participate in all employee-related management functions including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, motivation, discipline, performance appraisal, conflict resolution, and the administration of human resources policies and initiatives.

To be considered for this role you should have the following:

  • Experience in a Retail Environment
  • Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and other employees of the organisation.
  • Drive for excellence, motivated self-starter.
  • Effective empowering communicator, good problem solver
  • Knowledgeable in current trends
  • Innovative manager with people & processes
  • Sets plans & objectives, clearly delegates tasks. Develops, manages and trains direct reports.
  • Experience working effectively in complex global organisations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Excellent team-building, project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Understanding and affinity with the luxury market
  • Previous Stand-alone site experience in a similar size of operation
  • The ability to travel at short notice both within the UK and Internationally as required
