Stop Smoking Advisor

Stop Smoking help is delivered in a range of settings including primary care, workplaces and community settings to contribute to achieving the Stop Smoking service target for Reading.

The Stop Smoking Healthcare Advisor will be responsible for the following:

• Promoting and encouraging smokers to access the local Stop Smoking service, by ensuring resources are displayed across the city
• Providing Stop Smoking support to clients across localities to meet the needs of smokers in key locations and groups of need
• Managing a caseload of clients, including setting quit dates and providing behavioural support
• Maintaining accurate and clear client records, adhering to the Data Protection Act
• Liaising with other health professionals, including GPs, pharmacies and midwives

The ideal Stop Smoking Healthcare Advisor will possess the following skills and experience:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• The willingness to undergo a CRB check
• Experience within the Healthcare market would be advantageous, although not essential
• Local knowledge of the Reading area

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
