Statistical Modeller / Statistician - Matlab / R Language / Java / C++ / SQL Server / Data Mining / Statistical Modeller / SQL / Chi-square / Statistics / Mathematics / SAS / SPSS
A Statistician / Statistical Modeller / Data Miner is required for one of the UK's fastest growing companies based in central London due to continued expansion and demand. They are looking for a Senior Statistician / Statistical Modeller with advanced R language skills opr similar, such as Matlab, SAS or SPSS (and related programming language such as Java or C++) and proven experience with building advanced statistical models. SQL Server experience is also required, preferably with a PhD in Statistics
As Statistician / Statistical Modeller you will be leading the development of propensity models and be familiar with working with huge datasets. The statistical models you develop and deploy will allow the senior management team to make key business decisions.
Successful candidates will have the following:
Our client is looking to double their staff headcount in the next 12 months and have recently acquired one of their main competitors. They are a huge organisation in the US and are offering a salary in the region of £55,000 plus benefits for the right candidate.

- Expertise programming with R language OR MATLAB or similar if willing to learn R (e.g. SAS, SPSS);
- Good knowledge of Java, if not C++;
- A proven track record of building advanced statistical models;
- Strong presentation skills / client-facing experience;
- Proven experience with working with Microsoft SQL Server;
- A PhD or Masters (MSc) degree in Mathematics or Statistics (preferable).
