SQL Server DBA - Tunbridge Wells, Kent - £50K-£60K - SQL 2008/R2/2012, SSIS
A technical software house are hiring a Senior SQL Server DBA with strong all-round infrastructure skills to help manage their internal and external SQL Server based systems. The successful SQL Server Database Administrator will become a key part in the infrastructure team and will daily be required to assist in the development and maintenance of my client's flagship Microsoft hosting infrastructure serving many fortune 500 enterprise customers.
Applicants should have expert SQL Server 2008 / R2 / 2012 administration skills which includes Backups, HA strategies and physical design, provisioning and monitoring. Strong T-SQL development and optimization skills are essential, demonstrable use of the entire MS toolset to monitor, track and optimize production SQL databases is vital. A good understanding of integration and the BI stack is also required, SSIS and SSRS (Server administration & Report writing) are preferred and any experience with SSAS (Administration / Tuning / Cube design) would be beneficial. You will also be involved in exciting SQL integration development projects and be required to design, implement and maintain projects using SSIS & SSRS.
Excellent written and verbal communication is key as you will integrate with colleague and clients, a self-starter who is able to take initiative in projects and keen to join a company where your career will be a priority and personal development/progression is encouraged.
