SQL Data Warehouse Consultant - BI- ETL- OLAP

My client is seeking an SQL Data Warehouse Consultant to join their organically growing team.

This role is to undertake all aspects of the data warehouse support and development function as part of the Data Warehouse Team. This will be to ensure that all data warehouse processes operate as necessary all aspects of data warehouse change control and support are effectively undertaken as required. This will also be to support the Business in its use of the data warehouse via Business Intelligence or Ad-Hoc analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate within the data warehouse change process and change/development lifecycle

Undertake duties as part of the data warehouse support function

Ensure an effective data warehouse event management process is developed and supported

Assist with DBA specific roles in relation to the data warehouse - capacity management, performance management etc.

Develop strong and effective working relationships with Business Change Management, IT

Development/Support and the business functions

Essential knowledge would include the following:-

Excellent Microsoft SQL Server Skills: At least 5 years role development in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL 2005 - (SQL Server 2000 is also desirable).

Have in depth experience of developing a data warehouse
Experience of Microsoft SQL Server development techniques
ETL development using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Essential
Development of OLAP cube using SQL Server Analysis Services
Experience of reporting and BI tool use
Good understanding of all aspect of SQL operational architecture down o the hardware layer
