My client is a large financial services organisation based in Bristol who are currently recruiting for a position within the Internal Controls team. It is a fixed term contract of 9-12 months.
Job Description
This role will involve undertaking the compilation of evidence to support the assessment of risks and controls for SOX and other assurance purposes, specifically covering regulatory and capital requirements.
* Reports to a Senior Manager within the Group Finance Sox Centre of Excellence.
* Provides input into the assessment of control issues, including mitigating actions.
* Communicate SOX and other assurance requirements within the business area with particular emphasis on regulatory requirements.
* Manage the impact of change in business processes on the approach to SOX and other assurance.
* Stakeholder influence at senior management levels and above.
Person Specification
You require the following skills and experience:
* Recognised accounting qualification ACCA/ACA and have a background in external/internal audit or SOX experience, particularly regulatory related.
*Skills in the identification and mitigation of financial and reporting risks.
