Job Description
We are currently looking for a Solution Architect within our Client's acts as the expert in projects across the solution lifecycle supporting mainly bids but as well projects in delivery phases. The Solution Architect delivers the end to end solution design including costing and migration and ensures the IT Architecture solution responds to the business requirements of the customers in the most cost-effective and innovative manner.
The Solution Architect is specialized on several aspects (technical, procedural, operational) in at least one of the following domains: Adaptive Workplace; Managed Infrastructure Solutions; Applications Operations; Network & Communications; Identity, Security & Risk Management; Cross Functional; Open systems environments; Mainframe environment, SAP environment, Business Process Management, Enterprise Content Management, Middleware, etc.
Job Description
-Analyze the customer business and technical requirements to ensure the (sub-set of the overall) solution is aligned accordingly. The solution covers the Current Mode of Operations (CMO), Intermediate Mode of Operations (IMO(s)), Future Mode of Operations (FMO) state and the technical migration approach to get to this FMO state
-Leverage as much as possible standardized portfolio (service catalogue) and associated solution modules / building blocks and combine them to deliver the end to end technical solution. Involve Delivery Support Unit resources for deep technical expertise and coordinate their inputs into the technical solution process.
-Lead overall solution, and get the required approvals from business and delivery according to the existing processes
-Create the solution cost model. Compile and identify all costs that will be incurred in solution delivery. The costs may consist of standard and non-standard components. Take strategic viewpoints and target costing into account
-Support the solution proposal presentations at customer locations and/or internal offices. Prepare the relevant part of presentation material related with the services, architecture and technology aspects of the solution.
-Participate in the collection of Customer Specific Data in order to validate the solution accuracy, costing and assumptions
Person Specification
Job Requirements Mandatory
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Telecommunication or areas related
-Minimum 2 years of experience as solution manager, solution architect, technical architect, IT project manager or in any other similar area in IT service delivery.
-Excellent command of English. Additional language will be a plus.
-Knowledge of infrastructure service solutions (ie Servers/Storage, Network, Data Center, Security, Mainframe), Remote Managed services (ie Service Desks), Applications Management and tools and ITIL/ITSM frameworks
-familiar with National/International standards associated with IT services (e.g. ITIL, PRINCE2, IEEE802.3) and
-Interested in new technologies and having knowledge about current IT market situation and benchmarking processes.
-Excellent communication skills, consensus building skills with professional consulting behavior and presentation skills
-A hard hitter that is a results driven, with can do attitude, dynamic with robust and strong negotiation skills.
-Working to extremely tight deadlines and the ability to maintain focus whilst under pressure.
