Software Engineer - C / Unix / Real-time: Requires 2-5 years programming experience on real-time systems, ideally with a background in C and Unix (though this experience is NOT essential for good all-round programmers). Our client is a well established software and systems solutions provider, a fast-growing and dynamic organisation offering excellent career prospects.

Location: Stockport

Salary/Package: £25-36k + profit share + pension + health insurance

Key responsibilities of the Software Engineer:

# Work on a variety of projects for clients in a range of different sectors.

# Work across the full software lifecycle.

# Design, documentation, implementation, testing, installation, commissioning and support.

# Work on customer sites when required - these are in a variety of sectors: energy, retail, logistics, pharmaceuticals, biotech, food and beverage.

Ideal requirements for the Software Engineer:

# 2-5 years programming experience.

# Preferred background in C and Unix.

# Experience of working on real-time systems in a development role.

# Willing to work away from home for short to medium periods of time (UK and overseas).

# Degree in computer science or engineering, physics, maths.
