SUMMARY

Our client has a vacancy for a qualified Social Worker on a temporary contract basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties of this role will include:

• To provide a social work service to adults, children and families or other service-user groups as required by the appropriate part of the Service, including looked after children and those on the Child Protection Register, and also to vulnerable adults
• To undertake intake duty and assessment work as directed

• To be responsible for the professional assessment of need and the consideration of available options and resources
• To ensure the effective design and implementation of care plans
• To maintain accurate records and ensure that information is inputted into the Social Work database
• To work within policies and procedures as set down by the Service
• To prepare a range of reports as required by the Service within timescales set down by the Service
• To participate in a range of meetings including internal and multi-disciplinary case conferences and reviews as required
• To work as part of a team and contribute to team meetings

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Suitable candidates should have previous experience of social work practice within the UK and should be registered with the SSSC, GSCC, CCW or NISCC.
