Our client is seeking a Performance Analyst for a 3 month contact based in Exeter.
JOB PURPOSE:
To support the SME management team, by providing high quality data, value added information and analysis on a timely basis linking the financial performance of the business to the operational performance of the SME segment. To provide independent Management Information reporting for the SME segment summarising its operational and financial performance to the senior management of B2B and ESCS. To work in partnership with the management of the SME segment, providing independent advice and analytical review as requested.
The SME (Interim) Performance Analyst will work in a small team reporting to the SME Performance Manager.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Produce B2B’s internal business reporting and reporting to other ESCS and Corporate stakeholders as pertains to the B2B SME segment in partnership with the Reporting and Control team.
- Deliver reporting and analysis relevant to the Director of SME and other internal stakeholders that promotes their understanding of the SME segment financial performance.
- Help to challenge the SME segment on its planned and outturn financial performance on behalf of the B2B and ESCS management teams.
- Provide independent advice and analytical review to the SME management team.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a numerical subject or sufficient work experience.
- Experience/understanding of producing high quality financial and performance reporting.
- Commercial acumen with experience of using performance management metrics to drive and support change.
Technical and Commercial Knowledge and Skills
- Have excellent numerical analytical abilities and good report writing skills
- A thorough understanding of the energy industry and the processes involved in energy retail is required.
- Posses the ability to devise solutions to complex business issues
- Be able to build good working relationships within B2B and across ESCS
- Have knowledge of data warehouses and data reporting systems, desirable experience in working with data warehouses and data reporting systems.
