Our Thanet based client requires a permanent member of staff to join as Skilled Fitter. Duties will include the assembling of products, carrying out functional tests and assembling hydraulic components where necessary.
The successful candidate is expected to have an ability to work with and understand technical instructions. You will have experience in assembling mechanical components with a variety of hand tools, good level of numeracy and literacy and a recognised apprenticeship/qualification in an engineering discipline. Ideally you will have an awareness of H&S requirements, good attention to detail and ability to work to high quality standards.
You will need to have a flexible and adaptable attitude to work and be happy to work mostly in a standing position but most importantly, a willingness and ability to learn new skills in a new environment.
