The Role
Reporting to the Site Director this is a challenging role for a consummate management professional. The purpose of this role is to manage teams and resources to develop, evaluate, design, procure, install and commission plant and equipment that meets the requirements and objectives of the capital engineering projects, ensuring compliance to the necessary standards and legislation at all times. Your experience and expertise will be invaluable in determining and enabling site strategy through capital project creation, and evaluation of site assets whilst having direct input to future product development, best practice technichnologies, marketing strategies and product innovations.
Managing up to 5 capital projects at any one time will make demands on core management skills, including project costs, time scales and delivery to predetermined success criteria whilst managing and minimising risk. This role will require high levels of technical acumen and appreciation of the asset base – however this role is above all a technical management role with key leadership and people development responsibilities
Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate is likely to be degree qualified (2:1) or a minimum of HND/HNC in a core engineering discipline if supported by suitable experience. You will likely held a similar position where you have proven delivery of engineering or manufacturing projects, ideally in an FMCG environment.
