My client is a leading provider of mechanical and electrical maintenance, to office services and support full facilities management contracts. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a experienced multi-skilled M&E shift technician to join a rapidly expanding team carrying out PPM and reactive facilities maintenance in the HQ of one of the largest integrated accounting firms in the country.
The right candidate will be expected to be available to work a split shift covering site 07:00 to 16:00 and 15:00 to 23:00, Monday to Friday. You will also be expected to take part in a call out rota will cover the main building and smaller building within the London area. Duties will include, but may not be limited to:
- Electrical PPM and reactive maintenance including lighting systems, emergency alarms, inverters, ballast, three phase & single phase, generators, BMS monitoring, UPS, minor installations etc
- Mechanical PPM and reactive maintenance including seals, bearings, pumps, cooling towers, chillers, A/C, FCU, AHU, splits, chiller beams, basic plumbing, water treatment etc
- Fabric maintenance i.e. doors, locks etc
The successful candidate willbe able to demonstrate the following skills/attributes:
- Previous experience of M&E PPM and reactive maintenance within a business critical environment
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship/training scheme and demonstrate experience gained within relevant sector
- Mechanical & Electrical (multi-disciplined building services) experience backed up with relevant City & Guilds recognised industrial qualifications
- Experience of effectively carrying out reactive maintenance tasks within a building services environment via a CAFM and/or PDA system
- Excellent customer facing and communication skills
- In depth understanding of L8
Preferred skills/attributes would include:
- 17th edition or any further electrical City & Guilds qualifications
- Any further mechanical qualifications or experience (i.e. A/C & Refrigeration, Heating & Ventilation etc)
- Valid L8 Training
- MEWP training
- Valid AP15 HV training
Remuneration will include:
- 25 days annual leave (+ stats)
- BUPA single cover
- £35,000 - £40,000 per year
