Shift Supervisor

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Norbert Dentressangle for two Day Shift Supervisors to join or team in Luton. The pupose of the role is to supervise and manage a team on a day to day basis, delivering excellence in service to the customer, whilst meeting operational and financial objectives within a fast moving temperature controlled environment.

Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:

Manage, support and motivate the shift operations personnel to achieve daily output objectives and deliver shift KPI`s
Identify training needs within the team to ensure all staff are multi skilled and develop Team Leaders.
Ensure clear and documented shift handovers
Clearly understand issues with productivity/accuracy/issues documented
Ensure daily briefings are conducted to the team on requirements and to regularly update the team on performance issues
Effective management of temporary / agency labour and the associated costs
Ensure that all staff are fully conversant with and committed to compliance with health & safety policies and procedures
Effective communication through team briefing, formal handovers and documentation
Maintain accurate records on WMS
Ensure proper controls and systems are in place for effective, but constructive absence management Effective forward planning, ensuring efficient running of the operation, communicated to the whole team
Ensure minimal disruption to the operation with the down time of Equipment, finding the most cost effective way to manage this

The ideal candidate will:
Have a demonstrable experience in a supervisory roll or similar
Be customer focused and able to communicate at all levels
Be able to coach and motivate
Be able to multi task
Possess strong PC skills
Have Experience working in a fast moving environment
Demonstrate an understanding of stock control and WMS
PPT, Reach and counter balance licences
Be a motivated self starter with strong team building principles.
Be flexible and committed to providing excellence in all aspects, with a keen eye for detail. Demonstrate a pro-active approach when planning and able to react to day to day challenges.
