Our client is looking for a dynamic, innovative and experienced Shift Leader who has an extensive background in Lean Manufacturing.
The Role
To assist in developing manufacturing growth of Food and beverage in the UK. Focussed activities on the improvement process, ensuring contribution to the company business plan of achieving a budgeted financial return on investment by maximising the efficiency and performance of the people and equipment to co-ordinate between all processes in the supply chains, ensuring quality, repeatability and stability is improved, whilst meeting our output targets.
Responsibilities
- To be thoroughly professional at all times, leading by example, inspiring and influencing others to do the same.
- To ensure we satisfy the customers efficiently, identifying and rectifying potentials in the supply chain which may prevent the customer requirements being achieved.
- To be an effective co-ordinator, who achieves successful results through working closely with others within the Sports Cap operations.
- To target zero defects of finished goods, and execute all improvement plans with reference scrap and waste, and exceed our KPI of under 2.5%.
- To strive to continuously improve the performance of the team members by setting clear and challenging objectives, with set timescales, that are regularly reviewed.
- To maintain a high level of service to internal and external customers, developing a positive attitude towards others in the team and across the business.
- To ensure all trials and customer expectations are met reference quality. Improving information flow between sales and site.
- To organise and plan the continued training and development of the team members for whom you are responsible.
- To investigate thoroughly all customer complaints, ensuring corrective actions are feedback through the company response system.
- To ensure that all company and departmental regulations and guidelines are rigorously adhered to at all times by the team members.
- To ensure that all the required administrative duties are completed within the set timescale.
- To be proactive and continuously seek to improve equipment, methods, procedures, communications, encourage team members to do the same, in accordance with the continuous improvements philosophy. Kaizen.
