Shift Laboratory Technician - UKAS
Oil, Gas and Chemical Analysis
My client is a testing laboratory for oil gas and chemical samples based in the North West of England. Due to an increasing workload they are looking to take on a new technician on a shift basis to assist with analysis within their UKAS (ISO17025) laboratory.
The main responsibility for this role is to perform analytical test procedures on samples using a variety of techniques including GC. Inputting data into the LIMS IT system and assist the shift supervisor in shift handover, identifying and prioritising work.
The successful applicant will be educated to BSc. or HNC level and will have previous experience in a commercial testing laboratory, within a UKAS (ISO17025) environment. Previous petrochemical experience is desired. A sound knowledge of analytical testing techniques and procedures, including GC (gas chromatography) is also required.
Salary: £18,000-£22,500 (inclusive of shift allowance) + Bonus and Benefits
