SHIFT ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

We are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to a global manufacturing company who supply a wide range of specialist products to the construction industry.

All of our client’s production facilities have state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment supported by an ongoing research and development program.

The Engineering function is now looking to recruit an experienced maintenance engineer to join the team.

As a Shift Maintenance Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out effective fault finding and occasional modification of industrial control systems in a fast moving, continuous process environment.
• Ensuring plant downtime is kept to a minimum to ensure the cost effective running of the plant.
• Working closely with the Engineering Manager and Production Shift Leader to continually improve plant efficiency.
• Occasionally supervise outside contractors to work in a safe efficient manner.
• Use of the SAP PM system to report daily reactive maintenance activity.
• Assist with mechanical maintenance on heavy engineering machinery such as silos, furnaces and conveyors.

Requirements:

• Time Served Electrical Engineer (pref HNC qualified)
• Experience of fault finding and programming on PLCs
• Experience in using a CMMS system
• Experience of drives and motors
• Experience of working in a high pressure, fast moving, continuous environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong character
• Mechanical maintenance experience (desirable)
• Proven Leadership experience (desirable)
• Experience working in a medium-heavy engineering environment (desirable)
