A stable, innovative and expanding organisation that produces meteorological systems has a unique position for a Service Engineer, based from their site in Aberdeen to help grow their business further.
Job Description
The role will involve helping airports and oil rigs implement weather system solutions
Understanding the client requirements and tailoring the solutions to deliver year on year productivity benefits for them
Servicing and maintaining and fault finding electronic instrumentation
Demonstrating new products
Identifying new business opportunities with existing customers
Influencing the development of new products in the organisation
Person Specification
Experience of servicing weather systems is not vital for this position as product training will be available
Applications from service engineers in the Telecoms industry (or Military communications would be ideal
Experience of electrical instrumentation, serial and analogue signals and be able to fault find on cabling and implementing calibration regimes would be an advantage.
Good hardware and software knowledge/experience is vital.
You will need to be very customer focused, with excellent communication skills and the ability to formulate strong relationships and be confident when giving presentations
The role will involve both international and national travel.
This ground floor position, will be a fantastic springboard to a management position for candidates who are looking for a long term career.
Please note that this role would have access to a company vehicle, but candidates will need to be able to travel to and from AB21 using their own transport
