Senior Technical Underwriter

The job holder will provide underwriting expertise, technical assistance and risk analysis to ensure the profitability and long term stability of the company schemes. You will assist the Underwriting & Technical Manager in overall account management, liaise and negotiate with insurers as required, underwrite specialist liability scheme products and assess risk, assist in management of the Scheme Delegated Authority agreement and provide clients, prospects, brokers, insurers, introducers, sister companies and any other potential sources of business with a prompt and high standard of service. You will take technical referrals from the New Business and Customer Relationship Management teams, ensure the technical content of administration materials is correct and has compliance and corporate approval and provide support to the Claims Team as required, working with the Claims Manager to enable projections to be predicted accurately.

Prospective candidates must have previous technical liability underwriting experience and a good awareness of the marketplace. You will have excellent IT skills and be Cert CII qualified with 7 GCSE's or equivalent (Grades A-C; including Maths and English).
