Senior Residential Support Worker

Near Walsall, West Midlands

£18,643 - £21,821 + Sleep-in allowance (approx £2,000-£3,000 pa)

A specialist therapeutic provider of education and residential care for children who have suffered severe early life traumas are looking to recruit a Senior Residential Support Worker for a new residential home near Walsall, West Midlands.

Role:

  • To demonstrate and promote a high standard of childcare practice in accordance with The Children Act 1987 (2004), the National Minimum Standards and General Social Care Council guidance.
  • To be responsible for the health, safety and emotional well-being of the children.
  • To support the child's development under direction of the manager by contributing to the child's social well-being through care plans, and participating in its delivery as a member of a co-ordinated multidisciplinary team.

Skills required:

  • Extensive knowledge within the Social Care Sector
  • Able to work as a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures fully comply with the regulations

Qualifications:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 Working with Children and Young People
