Our client are an established and well respected firm of independent financial advisers.
The Role:
- This role is pivotal to the continued smooth running of the firm’s support systems.
- This position involves providing vital support to the Financial Planners (Advisers) which includes technical research and analysis, client factfind case analysis and ongoing review, compliance related projects and the preparation of letters, reports and technical briefings.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team. You would be responsible for providing a professional and holistic financial planning service and you would need to be absolutely dedicated to continual training, development and committed to constantly keeping up to date.
- You would be expected to carry out research within the framework of agreed projects and would need to be able to work efficiently and to deadlines. The work can be pressurised and you would have many tasks on the go at any one time. Priorities and deadlines can often change - you need to be very flexible, adapt and manage your priorities yourself and not be phased by working at a fast pace.
- Your main role would be to provide the backup to enable the Financial Planning Advisors to concentrate on client servicing and marketing the firm’s services to new clients and their professional advisers.
- You may also be expected to handle day-to-day details like call answering, talking to clients, attending product update meetings in house and externally; and would be expected to generally assist the firm in providing the clients with a highly personal, bespoke financial planning service.
Skills and Qualifications:
- You must have minimum of Dip PFS and working towards CFP
- Technical knowledge in the areas of pensions, investment and estate planning which you are committed to continually develop both by formal examination and personal development.
- High level computer skills - proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, XL and Powerpoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication
