A Senior Metallurgist is required to fulfil a hands on role which will involve materials testing and support of sand, investment and gravity die casting processes producing aluminium and steel castings.
Testing of parts after heat treatment processes to ensure conformance to specification following standard operating and health and safety procedures. Identifying and rectifying problems that occur during the process.
Compiling of metallurgical investigation reports to identify reasons for failures
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The successful candidate will have a technical qualification in metallurgy and/or materials.
Experience of aluminium casting, heat treating and the NADCAP scheme would be a definite advantage.
Basic salary dependent on relevant experience and background.
