A global Medical Communications agency, with a fantastic reputation within the industry has a unique opening for a Senior Medical Communications Manager to join their specialist team in Amsterdam. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, very accurate and medically sound educational materials for a range of purposes including online initiatives and live meetings. They are seeking someone who has real commercial skills and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to take on a highly senior, client-facing role and attend congresses.
The successful candidate must have ideally worked within a Medical Communications agency in a similarly senior and scientific role and must be able to demonstrate their expertise and passion for the sector. An understanding of a range of therapy areas is essential. In order to be considered, you must have a PhD in life sciences as well as outstanding verbal communication and writing skills.
Key attributes this agency is seeking in a Senior Medical Communications Manager include:
- Senior gravitas and proven scientific/medical communications acumen
- Adaptability and the ability to prioritise well and adjust to new needs/subject areas fast
- The ability to work wonderfully as part of a team and also take the initiative alone
- Strong computer skills including: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience planning publications or medical writing within an agency environment or within a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company
- A medical or science related PHD
- Superb written and spoken English language skills
- Excellent client liaison and project management skills
