Overview

As a Senior Manager in Impairment and Capital, and you'll manage and develop relationships with key partners and stakeholders across the European Retail and Business Banking sector. It'll be down to you to see to it that the back is compliant with regulatory and internal policy requirements, while managing risks and modelling issues that have significant financial impact on the wider business. It's a high profile role with plenty of responsibility, but one that provides outstanding rewards and recognition in return.

The Role

You'll drive the adoption of effective control processes, points of reconciliation and reporting frameworks, communicating results to key strategic partners. You'll also be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of impairment and capital estimations over differing time periods, while making sure that business strategy and impairment forecasts are in alignment at all times. In addition, you'll create an environment that recognises individual skills, nurtures cross-functional initiatives and addresses developmental needs.

Candidate Profile

You'll need a degree-level education (or equivalent) in a numerate subject, plus extensive experience of data analysis, manipulation and interpretation. Deep knowledge and experience of credit risk, particularly management of impairment or other forms of provisioning. A detailed knowledge of lending strategies in different operational processes, including cut-offs, decision trees, limits, policy rules, risk reward, champion/challenger is a must, and we'll need to see an understanding of risk-based and dynamic pricing models. Strong people development, resource management and stakeholder management skills are also vital.
