Our client, a highly commercial operation with significant investment for growth is seeking a Newly Qualified Accountant to join the team. The client is looking for a candidate who wants to become a Financial Controller and expects this to happen within the first two years.

This profitable business is really going places and as such needs to strengthen their finance team to cope with increased workload and demands from investors for more robust reporting, especially as they continue to grow.

Key responsibilities

- Full ownership of the monthly reporting for three business areas

- Year end reporting to include the preparation of financial statements and tax computations

- Provide financial advice and guidance to internal and external customers

- Preparation of the annual consolidated budget

- Monthly reports on variances to budget and explanation to stakeholders

- Mentoring of non qualified but studying accountants within the team

The candidate

- Must hold a professional qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA and a degree

- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

- Strong system skills to include advanced Excel with ability to handle large volumes of data

- High attention to detail with ability to identify ways to make improvements
