Senior Internal Auditor - Global Oil Company

Austin  Andrew is currently recruiting for a Corporate Auditor to join an International Oil and Gas Company based in London. Our client is one of the worlds leading oil companies and has operations across the globe.

The Corporate Audit Group conducts audits of operational and financial controls throughout the organisation, as well as joint venture projects.

The main responsibility in the audit role is to review and evaluate compliance with internal control policies and procedures. There is a wide range of operations that will be audited, including E&P, refining, marketing, supply chain and distribution. Other duties are to include identifying risk exposures and control weaknesses, and preparing and maintaining audit workpapers on the electronic Teammate system. You will also develop workable cost - effective recommendations and communicate findings and recommendations to management.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to work within an international team and be prepared to travel internationally, up to 50%. Internal audit experience is essential, ideally within an international organisation, oil and gas experience would be advantageous. We would consider candidates who would hold either an audit or accountancy qualification ( ACA, ACCA, CIA, IIA).
