The Senior Instructional Designer is an experienced individual whose primary role will be the creation and delivery of classroom and on-line materials used to educate customers in the use of Liquent’s proprietary software products. The Sr. Instructional Designer will act as a departmental mentor for instructional design tasks and curriculum development opportunities.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for running the European Training Centre in Munich for any public class
• Design and deliver instructor-led training for Liquent products, as deemed necessary
• Design and deliver LLN training for Liquent products, as deemed necessary
• Act as project manager for Instructional Design efforts, as deemed necessary
• Ensure a high standard of instructional integrity is maintained throughout the development of learning projects
• Accountable for the instructional design output of the Education Services team
• Customize training for customers as contracted by customers
• Interface with customers for the purposes of gathering, assimilating and dispensing instructional design/training project information
• Advise customers and Educations Services team on instructional rationale
• Conduct site assessments to uncover the training needs and expectations of users at all levels of the organization
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for new classes
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Teach classes, as needed

• Knowledge of instructional design practices, such as needs assessment, analysis, behavioral objectives and evaluation competencies.
• Strong teaching skills via traditional classroom training and eLearning.
• Must be able to manage projects to successful completion on time and on budget.
• Strong verbal communication skills for working with team members, customers, and SMEs.
• An understanding of basic hardware and software operating principles, including a basic understanding of relational and object-oriented databases as well as an understanding of the software development process and testing life cycle.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, this individual should be detail oriented with a strong customer service focus.
• The ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• An understanding of, or the ability to learn, the Life Sciences Business, specifically in the pharmaceutical environment pertaining to regulatory guidance and regulatory submission assembly.
• Ability to learn new technology and apply to business needs.
• Experience with Document/Content Management Systems.
• Adult learning principles.
• Must be able to design effective performance measurement and evaluation strategies.
• Travel required, approximately 40%; Must possess, or be able to procure, a passport with rights to travel
