Senior General Ledger Accountant - German

A exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fluent German Speaking - Senior General Ledger Accountant to join a new set up in Manchester, who are listed on the London stock exchange. The successful candidate will be fluent in German, Newly Qualified CIMA and it would be advantageous if you have SAP system experience. The role will requires a Pro-active and enthusiastic self starter, who has a level of flexibility, as you will be required to Assist in the transition of finance activities from various Europe finance functions into Manchester. Key Responsibilities:

• Involvement in implementation of the SAP general ledger, bank and cash and fixed assets
• Assist GL manager in the control of the general ledger for all Europe entities within SAP including fixed assets, VAT and cash/bank
• Management of 3 accounting staff (qualified or non qualified)
• Month end processes including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany agreement and settlement
• Assist in production of the monthly management accounts including investigation and explanation of any issues/variances with associated commentary as required
• Assist in the Production of any local statutory accounts (UK only)
